What we link to, and why
This is the important part: we only ever link to products and services we actually used on our own trip and would recommend to a friend. The carrier we flew with, the luggage scale we weighed Sofus on, the water bowl, the calming chews, the comfort toy — these are the real things from the real journey described across this site. We don’t link to products we haven’t tried, and a commission never decides what we recommend. If something didn’t work for us, we say so, link or no link.
Which programmes we use
Where relevant, we take part in affiliate programmes such as Amazon Associates and retailers of the specific pet-travel products we used, and we may earn commission on qualifying purchases. It doesn’t change our advice
Our income from the guide and from affiliate links lets us keep researching and writing first-hand, but it never changes the facts. Every rule and price is verified in person and dated; every recommendation is something we chose for our own dog. If a free option is better than a paid one, we’ll tell you — that honesty is the whole point of what we make.
